What do I want?

It would have been nice to watch the re-run DuckTales show that featured David Tennant as Scrooge MacDuck, between stints as Doctor and Scrooge.

No excuses.

The original series was my favorite, but I found the new animation style unattractive.

After reading positive reviews I decided to check them out. The writing was excellent!

Then, however, I’d missed quite a few episodes and did not have time to watch them all in one go, as the new episodes kept on coming. Three seasons of content!

The book The Art of DuckTales brings home to me my regret at not having watched this wonderful series through.

While reading this book, I made an effort to watch the Disney+ series but I still didn’t have the time.

But the book is still a good alternative. It could have been even better, but the absence of the enjoyable voices from the series. The Art of DuckTales, one of my favorite obsessions in history that works better as a book than a website.

REVIEW: The Art of Ducktales is a Hidden Treasure - WWAC

The series is documented in a hundred-page oral biography of every episode, which includes countless drawings and designs behind the scenes, background images, character sheets, cels and other artwork.

It is important to note that the new DuckTales does not represent your father’s uncle Scrooge. Nor is it Carl Barks or Don Rosa. It is a new generation of DuckTales, inspired by all the people who have contributed to Scrooge’s legend.

After watching the Art of DuckTales, I feel as if I have already watched the entire series!

This book is a must-have for anyone who watched the TV series.
